Comptia a+ online

    Hi all,

    Im thinking of doing the comptia a+ online but im not sure if they are any good, if anyone has done them can you please advise if you would recommend it or is the hands on course better. i dont think i have the time to go to a course with my working hours. any advice would be appreciated.

    I'm studying the security+ course at the moment and that is self study didn't go on a course or do any online training course just got a book on amazon and read through it a couple of times. I've a background in IT (Networking) I already have CCNA/CCNP Routing and Switching certs so I have found it easy enough going.

    Whats your reason for doing the course, employment? What role?
    Is this just the first course and you have more planned?

    Thanks for the replies, i was also thinking of getting a good comptia book so ill have a look. Yes employment is what i would like, i should have done this a long time ago. with my current job i have not got the time to do the hands on course which is why im thinking the online one. i have no certs yet but im thinking the a+ and then the network + maybe. i do know my way around a pc. a friend can get me a job in support if i get a cert so i would like to get it done asap. im just not to sure about the online courses, i know it depends on how much time and effort you put in, id just like to hear other peoples opinions about the online comptia!!
