True, but it did cement his 2nd spot at the time, if he had not worked with Froome he would not have gained as much time. Much like Bardet would have been better served working with Pinot to maximise the gap on the following stage and could well have won the race had he done so...

Though if he'd won the stage he's have both got the glory of that & a few more bonus seconds!

No tour of toberlone town thread so I'll post it here:
His thoughts on the lack of respect in the peleton for not helping the chase aside, Peter Sagan is an animal and a savage bike rider. We spoke above about boring versus attacking and entertaining. He is THE epitomy of attacking and entertainment. Check out his performance today. Pure awesome destruction

Not sure of spoilery ness so just in case

Spoilers for the TdS, do not read if ou don't want to know
I watched the last hour of TdS this afternoon. Sagan's attack over the last climb and especially his descent on the wet roads to catch the two leaders was awesome. It looked seriously scary at times and yet there he was reaching into his pockets for a gel. That he won the stage was a sheer bonus, watch it for his bike handling on wet bends at speed thru villages over traffic islands. Awesome doesn't seem a big enough word.....
