    Hello

I have purchased a property and want to undertake some renovation work.

There is a kitchen which is 26 feet by around 14 feet and then a family room adjacent which is 26 feet by around 20 feet. The 26 foot load bearing wall separates the two room. The family room looks out into the garden and is a single story extension.

We would like to take down the 26 foot load bearing wall between the two rooms.

We would also like to replace the wall opposite it with glass doors (the 26 foot outer wall of the single story extension).

I know nothing about this kind of stuff. What should I be budgeting?

    Many thanks.

Get your builder to do the physical works and your engineer to design the temp props and replacement structural elements.

The 2 of them should work together to get the job done.
