Forum Merge Imminent! * Please Read *

    Hi all,

    We’ve taken your feedback on board regarding the forum merges, and this will be happening imminently. We will soon have one single “Food” forum that will merge “Cakes & Bakes”, “Cooking & Recipes”, “Snacks & Sweets” and “Food & Drink”.

    As some of you expressed a preference for only browsing certain topics, a “tag” system will be implemented. Now when you start a thread, you’ll be prompted to add a tag to the title, such as “Baking” or “Cooking”. Posters will have the ability to refine the threads they see based on these tags, if you so wish. Otherwise, you’ll see them all. The Help Desk forum is an example of how it will look, if you want to see such a system in action.

    We’ll add tags to the last few pages of threads in each current forum, but generally speaking, the tags can’t be added retroactively. Older threads will remain tag-less. If older threads are bumped, we’ll do our best to tag them as that happens.

    We’ll have a feedback thread in 6 months or so, once everyone has had time to get used to the changes.
