Looking at the Tucson in 1.7 diesel, also the sportage in 1.7 diesel and Qashqai in 1.5 diesel. Any advice on all three of these cars? And which is regarded as being the best?

The Tucson and Sportage are the same car except for styling and trim. The Tucson has taken over the mantel of best seller from the Qashqai. Renault Qajar is worth looking at too if he likes the Qashqai as it's basically the same car.
