Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Smart mens jackets...

On the look out for a few jackets, and so far, no great joy in Dublin.

I'm not that fussy either, but would like something subtle and smart!

    1)

Looking for a sports coat/blazer type that I could wear for work meetings and also wear out if it came to it.

Remus Uomo make some nice ones, but any ones I've seen so far are slim fit. I'm not fat, but I'm late 30s, and regular size I suppose.

Any regular sized Renus Uomo blazer stockists in Dublin!

I don't want to be walking around looking like Conor McGregor either, or flash harry. Debenhams had a few that were a nice fit, but boring in style.

    Any other suggestions around Dublin?

    2)

A leather jacket. My Zara one is about 6 years old at this stage, and I'm probably in need of an upgrade.

The biker style jacket seems to be in now. G Star make a really cool one, but I think it might be a little *too* flash for me.

I like this style, but you don't see it around often, with the collars, kind of retro:

On closer inspection, that doesn't have a classic collar, but it's subtle enough!

ASOS have a selection of leather jackets and a few biker styles: http://www.asos.com/Men/Leather-Jackets/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=11760&r=2#state=Rf911%3D2244&parentID=Rf911&pge=0&pgeSize=36&sort=-1

Really, with the blazer there's so many variants that's it's hard to know what you want. Be a bit more specific - what colour? To wear with what, jeans and t shirt or a shirt and tie with trousers?

Massimo Dutti have nice blazers, not super slim fit either, got one there for a wedding a while back and I really liked the fit and quality.

Leather jackets you could try Genius Drury Street. They have Schott jackets which sometimes have leather ones from their line-up.

I guess the blazer would be to wear with jeans, shoes, shirt (or t shirt)

There is usually a large selection of blazers/sports jackets in TK Max. Can take a while to find the right one for you, but the stock changes fairly regularly.

Depending on your budget, you won't go wrong with a jacket from Ted Baker. For a leather jacket this one's a bit pricey but beautiful nonetheless:
