Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hopefully not. He'll surely get injured

I think the injurys might stop. Klopp has put him back in his place. He knows he has to toughen up

    Perhaps.

I still hope he doesn't play much this tournament.

England need to get another striker on.

They just picked out rooney for great tracking back but failed to say to Russian players ran past him and a terrible pull back meant it went straight to him. If we are praising Centre midfielders for basic tracking back we are all ****ed

He was bring praised primarily for his forward passing

Timed the interval. 11+ minutes of ad time on TV3. Only 3 minutes back in the studio with even less for analysis.

    Who would you go for?

I wonder how England would react to going 1-0 up. Would they take hold of the game or retreat and invite pressure...

Absolutely nobody picking up Rooney at all this half either. Very strange Russian tactics.

Could Russia actually look less bothered?

Compare this Russian team to 08 :O

3 tournament wins in 10 years for England, all by 1 goal against Sweden, Ukraine and Slovenia, per ITV.

There's the real Wayne Rooney giving the ball away when under a bit of pressure. It's easy to sweep long passes when you're under no pressure, have acres of space and have plenty of time.

Vardy he's in the form of his life. I'd say he is chomping at the bit to come on now.

Russia looking a little better at the start of this half.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Russia playing a bit better now. They could hardly be doing worse in fairness.

Sterling went fishing for that foul

Sterling needed to swing first time for goal.
    What an idiot.

Akinfeev doesn't seem like the biggest fan of grabbing the ball, does he?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 848 ✭✭✭Superhorse

I have to say it was an excellent bit of business from Liverpool to get 50m for Sterling. He's done less than fcuk all out there yet again for England.

    Nice dive from Kane.

Bring on Vardy. Fairytale stuff if he scores.

So if the injuries don't stop Klopp hasn't put him back in his place?

He'll at best miss a few games a few times a season like many other players going forward.

wow, that is pretty damning if thats the facts??

Also amazing that Wales' win today was the first time a British team won an opening game at a European championship.

    Clue: It rhymes with hurling.
