Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What a fantastic goal. Deserved as well. Belgium flattering to deceive.

Conte took a whack during celebrations I think.

Looks like the Italians pushing forward gave Conte a nosebleed.

Lukaku's first touch is always horrific.

The Belgians haven't defended this badly since 1940.

Italy win from here, Belgium will have to come out all attack on Ireland which may give Ireland a chance on the counter attack. Italy beat Sweden and could make the final group game V Italy a bit easier if they are through already

We have more chance getting something from them than Belgium. Italy love when teams come onto them something which we aren't capable of anyway. Hopefully the game won't mean much to Italy by then anyway and they'll play a reserve side. Hopefully.

Fellaini is nothing but a thug.

Maybe a cliche but there's one team that want it more at the moment.

Im not sure how much it matters really...if we manage to beat either of them, we'll be through, if we don't we probably won't. Since we play Italy last, it probably suits us slightly better if they have 6 points in the bag at that stage.

I find it hard to not go for Italy anyway, always the misjudged pragmatists.

Hazard seems to go from sublime to useless in five minutes.

Belgium are pants, Fellaini's hair is the best thing about them.

They need to get Origi on, get him to run the flanks and stretch that back three.

Indeed, him or Batshuayi just suit the way they play better than Lukaku and Tekkers do.

Belgium need De Bruyne central to pull the strings and get a speedy winger on. That left side for Italy is vulnerable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,522 ✭✭✭tigger123

    Italian goal was superb.

Hazard's been poor all season, I don't know if a player can just turn it on when he gets to a major tournament.

De Bruyne needs to start running things for Belgium.

Gotta agree with whoever said they have to get De Bruyne central. I don't understand how Fellaini is in that team. Mehrtens or Origi out wide on the right with KDB central makes way more sense.

Vialli on BBC looking more and more like the wrestler Perry Saturn

Anyway, this Belgian team does not worry me too much. Fancy a point for us at least, on this showing.

Ireland could win this group. These two look beatable.

Gulf in class on display here and its nothing to do with the players. Conte at a different level to Wilmots.

Italy worryingly good, but belgium look vulnerable. Not sure what the best result is here. Probably doesn't matter in truth, we will still need a win most likely.

Contain them then bang in a set piece. Job done.

We struggled to contain a sh*te Swedish side. Italy haven't even an attacking team out. It's a crime that Insigne isn't starting.

Yeah, but we spent half our time keeping tabs on Zlatan. I think we will be more balanced against the Italians, and not leave as many runners like Olsson today.

    Belgium look terribly coached.

Everything is so slow and deliberate. No fluidity whatsoever.
