Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If I put in my car reg will these sites say it's registered to me and how much is owed on it? Do they actually work?

They don't give out the owners details, no.
Finance check would flag money being owed, but not the amount.

So there's no way to find out who a car is registered to

No. It would be written on the current vehicle registration certificate though.

Not unless you have a friend who is a Garda willing to break data protection rules for you.

    Sadly no.

You see on the car check report it says that the car has had two owners - bought by a company in August 15 and then by a private individual in October 15. Would the company be the dealership? Hardly?!??

I had a car that was registered to a dealer for 3 months and then to a private individual for another 3 months. Unfortunately for him he then had health problems and couldn't drive with no chance of recovery.

I take this ain't your car your talking about, from your thread in the taxation forum ?.

If related to that threat, then no you won't be able to find out, unless you know someone that's willing to break data protection laws
