Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure why you assume trolling??

    Genuinely curious.

    Thanks anyway

Norn.ire winning here doesn't bode well for the Rep chances of getting a third does it?...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,614 ✭✭✭The Golden Miller

Cant believe these "norn iron" cnuts are winning. Ukraine don't seem to want to know. Hopefully they get the finger out and bag a few goals

    Momentum still with NI.

They're doing very well in fairness. Much improved from the first game. Funny considering how critical the TV3 panel were of O'Neill prior to the game.

edit ; And another ex LOI man enters the Euro stage

Tv3 must be sickened that they didn't get an ad break in.

ITV will probably go with the ad break at the scheduled end of play and not allow for the stoppage :pac:

    Scrap the cap!

It's probably been the biggest phenomenon of this tournament.

They'll have 3 points and would need a result out of the Germany game to contend I would imagine.

3 points is likely good enough for most team to go through in 3rd spot. This win should do them fine.

Always thought O'Neill was a class act, even for a shams man! :P

Yes - if we get three draws, we would have a neutral goal difference, versus a negative one for the North. Anything less for us, and we're probably out anyway.

But lose two games and end on a negative goal difference would make it a very hard task.

Are all positions decided by goal difference or is it head to head and just the competing best 3rd teams are goal difference?

We blew our beans against Sweden. Heading into games against Belgium and Italy, needing at least 3 points, we can kiss our arses goodbye.

Hats off so far to NI. You need at least one win in this competition to stand a chance. Hope they get it.

I'd be surprised if more than 1 team made it with 3 points. At USA 94 4pts was needed to get through in 3rd place.

Good to see pictures of talent in the crowd making a comeback. Has been missed in this tournament.

Within the group it's head to head, 3rd place teams are goal difference.

Belgium don't look too sure of themselves, but yeah, it's an uphill one for us.

    Fantastic insight from Tv3 there..

"Could Northern Ireland become the second side from the island of Ireland to beat the World Champions in the past 18 months"

So long as we aren't the third, that'd be embarrassing...
