Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

4-1 Spain, Joey Barton pretty decent punditry on tv3.

Iniesta was excellent in the previous game so I'm eager to see how he does again. Hopefully Turkey will give it a go.

    I'll say 2-1 to Spain.

Ah, Joey Barton.................Apres Match will get plenty of mileage out of the Philosopher himself!

Hope he can liven it up. Him and Souness are two characters that could clash easily. There hasn't been much conflict in any of the punditry panels thus far.

Didi Hammann been the best pundit so far.

Del Bosque should have been put out to pasture.

Does the ball not have to go forward from the tip off any more. I must have missed that memo

I hope he's worth the investment in metal detectors on the studio entrances in Ballymount.

Yeah, one of the new rules. Doesn't have to go forward anymore.

Rule change. It can go in any direction so only 1 player needed now at kick off.

Ah yes, at last they have changed that. It's been ruining the game for years. :p

It's weird, but i can actually hear Tony Pulis's Welsh accent for the first time. I never noticed it before.

At this level, UEFA should go back through videos of games and rescind yellow cards for anybody punished when their opponents feigns injury and give the card to the person who throws themselves on the ground. That would cure the problem of simulation.

who even brought it up at the UEFA/FIFA conference! It really does add so much though!

Busquets being Busquets. Such a talented player and such a sham as well.
It's he who should be getting the yellow not the Turkish player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Busquets is just vile.

disappointed to see Fabregas start, not really convinced he should be in the squad.

Poor miss from Pique. That was a superb chance.

for something so seemly easy to fix it seems there is no will within FIFA for this, didnt Sepp say a few years ago it was part of the game and he done it when he was a player.

Hopefully this'll be the first hammering of the tournament, could very well be at this rate.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

This Spain are far from the best now with the lack of world class options up top but they still look after the ball better than anyone else. That and Turkey have no real clue

another couple of goals and then another yellow card for Ramos would be good for Spain...

All too easy to break through, though he was definitely a smidge offside.

Spain first team to score 3. Surely a record for this far into a tournament

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

    Hoping for a 4-1 result.

Iniesta should be barred from playing, best European player for a number of years.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 141 ✭✭Clear Hearts

Iniesta could make a average team win the league, just amazing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

De Gea might as well be out pimping.
