Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The lads saying Celtic player was offside for the first goal but the guy crossing the ball was ahead of his teammate who that headed it....how is that offside then?

They're all ex-players in fairness, you can't expect that they know the rules.

When the Celtic player (can't remember who it was) headed the ball, Dembele then became offside. No doubt about it. But it would have been hard for the linesman to see Dembele's touch from a side on view.

I know that but I always thought you could pass the ball back to a team mate even if your past the last defender without being offside.

Imagine if City had a 50m CB on the bench instead of an average Fb playing in there.

How long before the inevitable City equaliser? I'll say seven minutes.

Agreed. Cracking vision from Silva to pick out Kun.

Nice peno save from PSG's young talented keeper Areola. Motta gave it away; he's had a nightmare week for PSG.

Cavani gets his second and it's 3-1 to PSG now. Should be all 3 points.

How is that not a yellow card then?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Napoli looking quite strong this year. 4 nil up on benfica.

Some performance by Napoli 4-0 up against Benfica.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Julio Cesar is having a mare for Benfica against Napoli. He gave away a peno and he's been caught out for Napoli's fourth goal.

Benfica should have bought the young Portuguese keeper Mika instead of letting Sunderland snap him up.

Shocking keeping by gladbach keeper for barca equaliser

That was a lovely finish from Guedes. He's highly rated and you can see why with that skill.

    Peno for Atletico Madrid.

    Griezmann misses!

    So many missed penalties...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Jaysus, that was utter stupidity from Vidal to give that penalty away.

    Pen missed though

Classy by Pep there, congratulating the Celtic players.

City looked far more secure once Stones came on but certainly some issues there for City in terms of ball rotation when under pressure. There are areas that must be addressed and the lack of De Bruyne was really felt tonight, moreso because Gundogan doesn't look fully up to speed yet.

How much was because of Stones and how much was because Celtic were tired and starting retreating into their shells?

Great effort from Celtic, tremendously entertaining match. Atmosphere sounded brilliant...Wonder if any English clubs will push for a safe standing area.

Bit of both but he's got a very assured, calming pressence that is very important to those around him. He's become essential.

The decision from Rodgers to play rodgball was critical to Celtic success. Dembelle and browns pirouette at the top of the head of the tripple edge double pivot was pivotal to Celtic success.

I'm happy City held on there that point could be crucial in getting them to the champions league.

I also thought It was a class act by Rodgers to congratulate the Barcelona players on a steely performance
