Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I hardly think that a squad that struggles to keep clean sheets is one that can be considered the best ever. Again, I'd like to see the analysis that this claim is based on.

Lovely finish from Ronaldo, brilliant reactions from him.

The Golden Miller will be bankrupt by the end of the competition.

fools and their money are easily parted!

The machine has had an outstanding game all round, devilishly efficient.

    Dreadful player Darragh, spoofer!!

Fortunate 50/50 goes real' s way. Ronaldo does what he does best capitalizes to full take full advantage. Sublime finish.

Feel sorry for atleti very much against the run of play.
Atleti have to go for broke now.

I think THE GOLDEN MILLER (TGM = THE GAMBLING MUG) should be paying for EACH GOAL, he scores, not just each game he scores in!

What about Ronaldo's general play though?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,805 ✭✭✭Rezident

Player down, call the medic. Oh wait its casemiro, he'll be fine once the ball is cleared.

I think it's just an observation based on strength of starting 11, bench and quality of players they are missing and nobody even really notices (Bale, Pepe).

Whose the go to AIG/Messi/Barcelona on Ronaldos behalf around these parts?

That was a class strike. Even had the Matrix moves n' all.

How could you not notice Bale missing. Real didnt have to do a sub in the first 20 mins :pac:

But the worst thing about him is that he never scores two against big teams in Europe.

    Just love watching Asensio.

Ronaldo is some diver though. Griezmann is class, he should leave atletico asap. Imagine him playing for an attacking team.

    Great tracking back by Greizmann

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Imagine starting Isco, not bringing on James Rodriguez, Bale being out, and being able to bring on Asensio. Tough to compete with that.

Not really, they're not Bayern for talent granted, but we saw how quickly a game can turn around with just 45 mins left last week - this one has over 90 remaining!

    Easy

Thank God I don't have to watch Atletico bottle it all over again next week now.

There was a guy around a while back in the La Liga thread. He was equally obsessed and hyperbolic regarding "CR7" (think thought might have been his username).

Yeah but when was the LAST time he scored a hat trick against a big club in Europe?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,521 ✭✭✭Giggsy11

He scores only against easy teams isn't it.

No player has scored more goals than Ronaldo in QF and SF stages in CL, no player has even scored half of what he scored IIRC.

Lol back to back hat tricks, useless ! Golden Miller must be hiding behind the sofa at this stage.

    That's the tie over.

Athletico must hate Real in the CL. Just can't beat them.

Brilliant all round attack. Simple but devastating!

It's amazing to think that Real Madrid paid €100 million for Gareth Bale and they don't seem to miss him in the slightest.

Vasquez,Asensio,Isco,Morata and James must be the greatest back up attack in the history of the sport.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Fair play Ronaldo. Atletico are like a dog with no teeth now. An unrecognisable performance by them more like watching Arsenal or Man City on a bad night than a Simeone team.

Because he knows Ronaldo is **** so he had to let him score

He faked the left corner well there with his body shape.

Has never scored a hat trick in a Champions League final when his team is down to 9 men, though has he. I'll hold judgement until such an occurrence.

There's plenty of them I think, lots to choose from.

You talk ****e about Barca/Chelsea/City (insert flavour of the month here). If Messi scored one, never mind a hattrick, in a CL semi final you'd flood it with praise. And undoutedly needlessly draw comparison

Yea, but will not be classified as a true great until he scores in Europe on a Monday night.

At least we'll be spared that. Atletico have been pathetic. Only Juventus can stop Real now.

Would kill for the ability to have the ignore option on quoted texts.
