Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Whenever I see teams win at prices like that I get a stinky dodgy feeling, but you'd imagine Celtic players are probably earning enough that this doesn't become a thing.

What is it with Scottish football and how awful they seem to do in Europe year after year? Celtic/Rangers used to bail the coefficient out but even that's not happening so much with only one of them left.

The standard in Gibraltar seems to be a lot higher than you would imagine in fairness. Their clubs have beaten teams from Armenia and Estonia in Europe in their three seasons, and run clubs from the likes of the Danish and the Swiss leagues close as well.

This is the thing, it wasn't a Sunday league team they were playing but one (albeit very low ranked) with wins in the qualifiers over the past couple of seasons. Celtic should know this and treat it seriously, they are fully paid professionals after all but conceding and their own missed chances didn't seem to worry them too much, treating it like a regular pre-season game.

In normal circumstances, they should absolutely be winning it, but no matter what sport or level you're at, if you simply don't so your job you can get punished and Lincoln were just good enough to do that on the night. Assuming Celtic win the second leg, the Gibraltarians will still be very happy with the coefficient boost from this!

And Celtic fans were delighted Rangers were relegated.

Now it's early July struggles against minnows rather than getting straight into the group stages of the CL.

Scotland needs a strong Celtic and Rangers competing in Europe

    Celtic result aside

Decent result for TNS but Cyprus away may be a step too much for them.

40-1 for Lincoln to win and Rodgers denies it's an embarrassment.

Perhaps he didn't want to insult the other team by saying it was embarrassing to lose to them?

Because it's a really poor league these days.

Most teams would probably struggle in League 1 in England and I'd say Celtic would be close to relegation candidates in The Championship.

Is Eir Sports not showing the game?

Doesn't show up on their EPG - agreed about the importance of the game, given that victory would guarantee a Europa League group stage play-off at worst.

Free to air channels have no interest in sport anymore and only cover it because they have to or it's guaranteed massive ratings.

They have plenty of interest in run of the mill Gaelic and rugby matches.

Ryle Nugent too busy sorting out deals for u20 Women's Rugby on a Friday night for next season most likely. Even when RTE show live games Setanta(Eir Sports) coverage is always superior.

They have plenty of interest in run of the mill Gaelic and rugby matches.

They wouldn't get to show the bigger matches if they don't show the regular games in the first place.

There's more interest in the run of the mill GAA and Rugby matches in general than there is in the League of Ireland.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself and the chances are pretty slim, but would I be right in assuming Dundalk would be seeded in the final round if they were to knock out BATE? I'm gonna assume BATE would be seeded considering they got 5 points in the group stages last year!

Nope draws now will be taken place after both legs have finished so unseeded teams will not take the place of a seeded team if they knock them out.

Man city getting Roma would be a very nice early test for Pep. Monaco would be no walk in the park either.

Man city will need to be up and running very early in this campaign.
