Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Spurs cant handle the big grounds.

Since they beat City, Spurs haven't won in 6 games and have only scored 2 goals in that time.

How much are Spurs getting from playing in Wembley? Seems greed might be costing them a place in the knock outs, have they not enough money from monstrous TV deals without chasing every pound? although that said their form in recent weeks has been poor, what had they, 1 shot on target all night?

Long ball over spurs press really seems to screw them easily.

They dont have a choice, they are doing some preliminary works at WHL and while they are there are issues that mean they cant play CL games there.

They will most likely play all league games for the 17/18 season at wembely while they work on WHL so they better get over the "Jinx" soon

It's not greed... White Hart Lane is under construction. The changes made aren't a problem for the FA so they can keep playing domestic games there, but the UEFA requirements are different, and deem the stadium to be unfit to host games in its current state.

Did not work well for Arsenal when they played their early Champions League games in Wembley

Really looking forward to Monaco vs Spurs. Monaco are banging in the goals right now and Spurs need to win this game to have hopes of progressing. It could be great.

Monaco XI: Subasic - Sidibé, Glik, Jemerson, Mendy - Fabinho, Bakayoko, Lemar, Silva - Falcao Germain

Spurs XI: Lloris, Trippier, Dier, Wimmer, Rose, Wanyama, Dembele, Winks, Son, Dele, Kane

That midfield battle will be very interesting.

Great chance for Spurs but Son blew it.

    Fabinho doesn't miss them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Why didn't Fabinho take the pen?? They showed his record before the match and its 16 pens in a row.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Monaco should be 2 up by now. Spurs look a shambles at the back.

Falcao's captain so I think he called for it. Wonder will not scoring it affect his confidence.

Mendy is tearing Spurs a new you-know-what at the moment. I was surprised Deschamps didn't turn to him for France when Kurzawa got injured. He has to be a better option than Evra these days.

    Mental game in Dortmund.

Damn, 5 goals scored in half an hour. Wonder what it will be when it finishes.

One of the most crazy halves of football I've seen in a long while. 6 goals with 10 mins still to go

    Make that 7 :D

Dortmund could easily get to double figures here

This is unreal, Legia's goalie is a joke though.

But what a first half so far.

If spurs get out of here with anything, it'll be a miracle.

Delighted to see Marco Reus back playing again and looking sharp.

    Deserved lead for Monaco.

    1-0 Monaco. Sidibe.

    Mendy involved again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

Monaco take the lead through Sidibe.

    Spurs penalty.

    Kane scores it - just.

Poor defending by Spurs, to be honest. A free header from six yards out, in the middle of the goal.

    Lifeline for Spurs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Spurs get a lifeline of a very soft penalty.

    Kane gets it. 1-1

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

    6-2 now...

    Spurs being Spurs.

Sunday morning parks defending by Spurs for both Monaco goals. That must drive a manager mental. Drag yourself back into the game then, 38 seconds later, leave a man totally unmarked at the far post. Kamikaze stuff, really.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

6-3 now, what the actual ****.

Ah how did Lloris save that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Kept Spurs in it when, to be honest, they should be dead and buried by now.
