Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

PSG are due a win over barca in the knockout stages so they'll go two up and end up drawing, dortmund to nick the other tie 1-2.

PSG and Barca teams are in:
PSG XI: Trapp - Meunier, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Kurzawa - Rabiot, Verratti, Matuidi (c) - Di Maria, Cavani, Draxler.

Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen - S.Roberto, Piqué, Umtiti, Alba - Busquets, André Gomes, Iniesta - Messi, Suárez, Neymar.

No Thiago Silva due to injury who I think will be a big loss as he's been in good form; surprising that both Draxler and Di Maria feature with Lucas on the bench. Usually Emery starts Lucas and chooses one of Draxler and Di Maria. Meunier gets the nod over Aurier too but I think Meunier being better defensively always made that a strong possibility.

The Barcelona team unsurprisingly looks very strong. With Thiago Silva I'd have been confident PSG could win but now I have doubts. I like Kimpembe as a prospect but against that forward line...not sure he's up to it at this point. Marquinhos has been playing well though. Looking forward to seeing how he gets on.

    I'll go for a draw.

Although he's been slightly better in recent games. Gomes is a liability imo.

    Silva seems a huge loss.

Suarez did well to complain to the ref at that speed, ominous signs.

Good start from PSG. Clearly targeting sergi roberto at right back.

BT commentary ahead of play so have had to go to tv3

    Modric already forcibly took that.

PSG well on top in midfield, think Verratti would suit the oppositions midfield. A lot better than Andre Gomes who I don't see much in at all.
Neymars kids must tie his shoelaces

Di Maria's eyes lighting up over this free-kick.

    Edit: And he scores!

How on earth is Andre Gomes playing for Barcelona!? Dropping the likes of Rakitic for that guy is shocking.

Verratti is seriously good. He'd be top of my fantasy signings for Chelsea in the summer.

Possession without structure, at this level, can't win trophies.

Nah, not fair. Him and Kante together in midfield would be like playing FIFA on Amateur difficulty.

    Marco Verratti is the Boss

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Verratti's been sublime. Rabiot has done well too considering he picked up an earlier booking. Probably the only PSG player you'd expect more from is Cavani. (cue a goal now)
