Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Aguero going down before he was touched. BT getting this all wrong

I'd expect it from Sky but BT are usually a bit better than this.

Not really that clear if people are disputing it

They've scored an offside goal in this game already.

Replay showed it's far closer than you think. Needs another replay with a line.

    Except
1: the keeper got the ball
2: Aguero went down before he was touched.
    Ref was correct

Up to Ref to decide on a penalty, not Augero. It actually was a penalty , but Ref was not happy that Augero was one deciding. All he had to do was stay up and score.

They didn't, I thought so as well at the time but there's a replay that shows Sterling is just onside.

Since when was diving not allowed in the champions league!? Fair play to ref, massive call and very brave too. Looked like a peno first time but as you can see in the replays, Aguero left his legs in and dived - expertly - it might be added. Refs usually never cop that. Maybe there is a good ref in the CL after all.

I know soccer is a sport with no memory but even the offside goal scored by city happened less than 15 minutes ago. Should still be on immediate recall.

Very open game. Great for the neutral

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,037 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

But Sane and Sterling were behind and in an offside position when Sane passed it. Can a player be offside if he receives a pass from a player also offside if that pass is not forward, it's side ways or slightly behind.

The players being in behind doesn't matter, as long as the pass is either behind or sideways as you said - but on replay, it looked like Sterling was ahead of Sane when the ball was played.

It was a penalty the goalie came out and obstructed him. Anyone on this thread saying otherwise are fans of other EPL sides and don't like Man City or simply haven't a clue about football.

Otamendi badly t fault there. It was going to be hard enough anyway, without us gifting them goals like we've done.

So far we've three posters who think it was a penalty.

Two guys names TheCitizen and Blueser, and Andersonisgod.

I don't think it's everyone else being biased...
