Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have seen them recently, and they are indeed a bit weak, but I'd still expect them to get through. By no means in all kind of trouble

Half-Time score: FC Rostov 1-0 Ajax.

Can we agree they're in trouble now? :pac:

Tis 2-0 now, look likely to be joining Dundalk now.

    Make that 3 now

Man, Ajax were a giant club when I was a kid. I remember kids having their jerseys. Sad what's happening to them now.

    Edit: And it's 4-0 now.

    That's pretty humiliating for Ajax

It's not really surprising. Ajax compete in a league with a tiny fraction of the sponsorship money that Spanish, English and German teams would get.

AZ is also screwed slightly by this Ajax disaster as they most likely will end up in pot 2 for the EL draw instead of 1
A while ago i posted a "tip" that 17/1 for no manager to leave or get fired in the Dutch league (lots of managers in their first year, other clubs who cant afford it) but Bosz will have to start winning matches otherwise he ll be gone end of next month.
Fact he played a big part of his career at Feyenoord will not give him mare credit either.

So that will be no Dutch direct qualification from 2018/19 onwards.
But since the maffiauefa has plans to guarantee 4 starting places for England/germany/spain/italy that was always going to happen anyways.

Shows nothing changed at that corrupt ****hole in Switzerland because.... why 4 places for italy? Their teams lost 6 of the last 7 CL qualifiers.

Would be great if the other 51 UEFA members would say: You know what, stick that CL there where the sun doesnt shine.

Will be the end of european cup football as i always liked it.

I really dont need 6x Barca - Real in year. Certainly not when in a few years those matches will be without Messi/Ronaldo.

Because there is a chance of Italy taking over England as top 3rd league so it is really helping to protect the Premier League

Those changes are a complete joke.

What have Italy done on a club level to even warrant 4 places ? Their second and third best clubs can't even make any proper impact (or can't even qualify).

More protection for the big leagues. Really hoping many countries tell them to do one and start their own European tournament.

They nearly had it on merit over England. The european co-efficient was not just based on CL+ England's awful recent performances, especially in the Europa League.

The changes protect England's spot moreso than gifting it to Italy..

A very good group for Leicester. I imagine Porto will win it but Leicester should be able to edge out Bruge and Copenhagen over six games.

PSG arsenal looks to be the pick of the bunch, going for an arse win.

Bayern to win competition outright with Carletto at the helm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

    Arsenal XI:
Ospina - Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal - Coquelin, Cazorla - Iwobi, Özil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sanchez.

    PSG XI:
Areola - Aurier, Marquinhos, Silva (c), Maxwell - Krychowiak, Verratti, Rabiot - Di Maria, Cavani, Matuidi.

Quite surprised Cech and Giroud aren't starting for Arsenal.

Interesting to see the highly rated Areola nip ahead of Trapp in the line-up (ho ho). A lot of people reckon he should be the number one, although I like Kevin Trapp. Kurzawa will be missed but the defence looks alright; Silva hasn't played this season I don't think which could be a problem for them. Good to see Rabiot play and he'll be important if they are to win.

PSG's midfield looks much stronger than Arsenal's does. I think PSG can win this but I wonder will Cavani take the chances that come along? He hasn't been playing well.

This is a tough one to predict but it should be a fun game. I'll go with PSG to edge it.
