Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Both teams deserved that. Be hilarious though if Sane missed that. XD

City doubtless to face barca in the next round and bend over accordingly.

It's like the battery has gone flat in the Monaco players. Went from super high energy to looking completely spent.

I said it at half time, I said it a few minutes ago and I'll say it again, that extra body (De Bruyne) in a deeper position has given City control in this half. Great move Pep.

Exactly, Pep always lies down for Barca, hes a disgrace ...

Pep earning his money here. The move of De Bruyne into the deeper role has worked wonders. Finally they've been able to dictate play.

The original setup was badly exploited by an exceptional Monaco 1st half performance, but Pep has worked it out.

Edit: I see AIG had beaten me to the above observation.

Just think Monaco have run out of energy more than anything to be honest. Happened in the first leg too.

Just think Monaco have run out of energy more than anything to be honest.

    It's not.

There's no way a team that brimming in energy and confidence at the end of one half could know be knackered by 50/55 minutes.

KDB being that bit deeper has meant someone can get on the ball, and also, it's free up the space ahead.

But none of that matters if you can't teach your team to defend consistently well! Great header.

John Stones is never going to get hurt going for a header anyway, gutless.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,672 ✭✭✭elefant

You can't even see in the shot who is supposed to be picking him up as he heads that in. Woeful stuff.

Why are you talking about Europa League teams and coaches in the CL thread?

Seriously though, if he won't ask Europa league managers for help at least ask somebody, he is destroying some good young defenders there. :( Maybe big Sam could give him a few pointers?

2-0 up at half time and going through. The message definitely at half time was more conservative.though I don't think it suits them at all to allow man city position.

Beat them in a nothing match ... typical Pep ... I mean why should we be surprised, he was celebrating after Barca knocked out Bayern - disgracefull should have been sacked in the tunnel after that.

Imagine watching a game like this and thinking about coaches like Mourinho and Allardyce, what a very dour outlook that is.

When pointing and laughing at a managers clueless attempts to organise a defence its only natural to compare him to his peers, most of whom managed to reach a basic competence in that area years ago.
