Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Monaco are the most enjoyable side in football to watch going forward.

    Yep, great counter, terrible refereeing.

Dortmund sure have regressed the past few years.

This monaco side are great to watch when in full flow

You can really only laugh that such an obvious offside goal can't be ruled out in the quarter final of the biggest club competition in the world. Cut and dry decision, would take 10 seconds max.

The commentator on TSN saying it wasnt offside :pac: how do clowns like this get employed

Missing some players tonight, and this Dortmund do some things better than Klopp's Dortmund.

Horrible miss by Kagawa. Definitely should've scored off of some good Dortmund possession.

    Great finish. :pac:

    Dortmund are horrible at defending.

Thomas Tuchel isn't just following Klopp club by club but style wise too!

Bernardo Silva looks a bit special, great talent.

See the Leicester fans are carrying on like absolute scumbags out in Madrid. Robbing beer from trains, fighting with the polices and singing about Gibraltar and the fecking RAF shooting down Germans.

Same gob****es that were crying in the corners over Russia running at them in the Euros no doubt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Monaco have now scored 2 or more goals in 35 of their 52 games in all competitions this season (135 goals in total).

Jonathan Pearce I think. Insufferable at his judgemental worst in this game, hard to listen to.

I have sympathy for Dortmund given the situation, it's mental impact on the players and the impact it's had on team selection. The other thing is that the quality of this 11 does look a little light compared to what's remaining in this competition.

Monaco have been excellent though, well drilled, so quick in transition and ultra sharp in their offensive movements and passing.

Scum of the earth. Id say most were ****ing dragged up. Cavemen the lot of them

Don't think the game should have went ahead after the attack yesterday.
Dortmund players not on it at all.

Monaco are doing great missing 3 key players as well.

Can I assume RTE are showing the Munich/Madrid match, and not Athleti/Leicester under some misguided notion that we need/want to see the English clubs at all times?

Yes you can, they've been advertising it for the last few days.

Tough one alright... can't imagine anyone sleeping terribly well after the day they went through yesterday.

BT haven't noticed that Sahin is now on the pitch.

I wish BT sport kept up that "cover all the games at once" thing they were doing for the group stages. Just flicking back and forth between the two matches. Would have liked to have watched both later kickoffs tonight.

    Liverpool fans can relate.

    Pulisic is killing Raggi

Dortmund look a totally different team now

It should have worked. Don't think there's been a player since Morientes that I had such high hopes for but just didn't deliver.

Goal! That's football! That's Tuchel football!

    Great play from Dortmund.

Here's a question though - if Dembele hadn't been there to score, should that have been a pen to Dortmund, as the keeper came out for Kagawa, and made contact but didn't win the ball?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

    Those stupid Leicester fans.....

No Lewandowski for Bayern. Big blow to them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Falcao should have buried that, brilliant Monaco play.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Incredible Monaco play started at left back.

    Falcaooo....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Raggi is a massive weak link at left back, slow as a boat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    Yes!

That's how you finish, Henryesque, tie possibly over.

Yes you can, they've been advertising it for the last few days.

Cheers. Only switch on RTE to watch the CL, so wouldn't know which game they're showing till then.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

That could be the tie. Dreadful from Pisczeck, all 3 goals have been horrible individual errors. Shame, because the 2nd half here warrants more than the score suggests for Dortmund.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Wow, poor ball for that 3rd goal

Taxi for tuchel. Dortmund poor and most likely thats that for them in europe

Crazy comment. His setup here has been quite good, and they've played well considering the circumstances. Tuchel isn't the linesman, he's not Bender heading it into his own goal or Pisczeck getting his pass wrong.

Really hope UEFA go ahead with changing the CL kickoff times to 6pm & 8pm instead of 2 games at 7.45pm. Great game here that will be immediately followed by (hopefully) another in Munich.
