Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dortmund's defending is ridiculous. Only a matter of time before they get caught on the break.

Nothing new bases on the few games I saw of them. Benzema should have had one. Don't like Götze in the team either tbh

Yeah, awful. And then he gets up and has a go at the defender he punched the ball into.

Porto are being played off the park when Leicestershire attack, no idea who to pick up. Should be 2-0 at least.

Great first half performance from Leicester, should be up at least two by now but if they keep doing what they've been doing they are going to win this one handily.

I was just looking through the Porto squad - it's a shadow of the one that Villas Boas had not that many years ago.

Sevilla have a penalty to secure the 3 points.

And it's over the bar by Vietto! Awful peno.

Akinfeev was always touted as the next big thing, but is always prone to do something like that.

Chicharito with a goal against Monaco.

Hasn't Akinfeev conceded in every CL game for 10 years or something?
Clever foul by Guiererro, Dortmund are so poor defensively.

Sevilla vs Lyon is end to end stuff if you want to focus on a game for the last ten minutes.

Update: Not so much now. Sevilla looking to wind down the clock.

Lyon had a chance for an equaliser near the end there but a poor cross and that's it.

Glik has to be one of the best signings of the season. £9m from Torino and he's been very good in defence for Monaco as well as popping up with important goals like that one right there.

Leicester hung on, 6 points from 6, and two clean sheets.
Fuchs did his best to concede a penalty in the end, and Amertey kicked someone in the head!
I think they should forget about the league and just concentrate on the CL now.

I don't get this "forget about the league" stuff??

Ensuring their league position is much more important than CL for a club like Leicester. Its not as if they can afford to rest on their laurels and expect to be grand.
A bad run of results and they could easily find themselves in a struggle in the bottom 6.
Not to mention the likelihood that a lot of these players (we already see it with the likes of Huth) are going to face a burnout period and they won't be as lucky with injuries.

They need to concentrate on every game as being as big as the next, whether its Burnley at home or Porto away. They will coast through their group now, though.

I think it appears already that Leicester will be mid table team this year in the EPL, and I would guess they will not be bad enough to be involved in a relegation battle, so I can see them giving more emphasis to the CL this year, as it will be the last time they will ever be in it.

What do you mean by more emphasis? Dropping their first team players at the weekend, owing to the fact they are playing FC Copenhagen the following week? I doubt Ranieri is naive enough to think that anything less than 100% dedication going into every league and CL match is required in this league. For that reason I will imagine they will finish in top 8. And will emerge from their group. Ifor they were lying midtable and more or less safe in April, they can afford to take their eye off the ball in the league as they ain't going down or don't have chance to get top 4. Like Chelsea in 2012, that's when you rest players in the league.

Teams can't just switch it on and off for different competitions. Ranieri is a stickler for his committed approach to every game. League cup and maybe even FA cup they'll send out second team.

But he is not going to tell Jamie Vardy a's he heads on to the pitch at Brittania or even White Hart Lane to not bother putting in much effort as the league is not our priority.

Celtic with clear plans set out for their set pieces anyway. Targeting city's lack of height.

Rogic needed to hit that first time
