wtf was that from Joubert? AUS go 20m backwards and he doesn't go back for the penalty?

That's an unbelievable call by Joubert

England seriously lucky not to get at least one yellow before half time. Could have had 3 or 4 no problem.

Ridiculous! they made no ground how could advantage be over. It had to be try or penalty and somehow escaped without a yellow

    bad refereeing is an epidemic

Australia will be raging not to have got the try there after all that pressure.
Think they will come out on top in second half, they seem to be moving the ball alot better and making easy gains on England right up until they get to the redzone, surely an Englishman will get a yellow if they keep that pressure on in that area in second half.

definitely.they are screaming in each others faces after every decision. farrell, itoje brown are three main offenders.

Even the way they tossed the ball back to the wing, he was given all the opportunity he needed.

there is no problem with officiating, the sky is green, and we have always been at war with eastasia

    Scandalous half from Joubert.

England should've had at least one yellow. Probably 2.

For Australia to be only 3 points down is some achievement.

    Typical Oceanic attitude.

Outdone only by hyper analysis by fans with no understanding of the game who just want to complain and create rows. That's at pandemic levels.

    agreed

Massive for England to survive that last seige before half time.

Finely balanced now. Lots of pace in both sides should see a few tries as tired legs set in.

Tbh I think farrell is just stronger than Foley so it looks like farrell was in the wrong but Foley did step in first.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,641 ✭✭✭Dog Botherer

Eddie must have slipped Joubert a cheeky tenner.

    Nothing in that incident
No need to stop the play for 2 or 3 minutes

It wasn't a penalty either way IMO.

    Massive defence from England.

Can't keep that up all half though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,370 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

The two sides are obviously mainly to blame for the scraps, but Joubert's refereeing is not helping.

He didn't. Owens wanted him to check for the shoulder charge by Farrell, but also suggested checking the Aussie player didn't step across him.

Agreed. It almost felt like because play was stopped they had to award something.

Fair enough only heard Owens talking about White 12 shoulder charge

Australia are playing themselves out of this game. England getting every bounce of the ball.

Credit the English defence too though.

Surely can't keep it up though.

Penalty and yellow. Hands in the ruck. Not called against England again.
