    Hey lads,

Thinking of going down to Cork for a 2 night midweek break with the girlfriend in July. We also want to go out and see Blarney one of the days.

Just wondering where would the best place to stay be? Hotel or B&B, though would prefer a hotel being honest. Somewhere outside the centre ideally, maybe 5 or 10 mins in a taxi?

Thanks for the help in advance

I was looking at that, but was hoping for sonewhere a bit closer to the city, We'll be in the city for longer than in Blarney.

Oriel House in Ballicollig. Beautiful hotel within walking distance of a selection of bars/restaurants. 10 minute drive from Blarney. 10-12 minute drive to city.

Hayfield manor is probably the nicest hotel. Very pricey though! It's near UCC so basically in city but not the centre.

Maryborough house is also lovely. It's in Douglas which is outside the city. Other side of the city to Blarney though!

River Lee hotel is also quite popular. Pretty much in the city also close to UCC.

Clarion if you want right in city. Imperial and Metropole also in city. River Lee and Hayfield nice. Kingsley nice.

I'd have to recommend the Clayton hotel silver springs.

    Well lads.

We actually ended up going with a self-catering apartment, thanks to everyone for the tips all the same.
