Is this Japanese knotweed?

Hi just after noticing this plant only today after being away a week, am worried that it's Japanese knotweed, can anyone confirm? It has strange nodules at the base and its colouring if it's trunk seems similar to the knotweed I've encountered before. The area is not known to harbour any Japanese knotweed so am hoping this…

You may be safe enough. Knotweed doesn't have a serrated edge to the leaves.

Thanks, I was a bit concerned when I saw those unusual wart like nodules coming from its base Aswell as its hollowness.

Yes that's it alright, This plant seems to be very common out my way, my folks have a bunch of it up by them, maybe the lesser of 2 evils.
