Do we need a doctor's certificate to collect our Bib's at the EXPO, no?
On the website it only says photo ID, just want to be sure!

A bit of taper madness starting to kick in today. I'm off work, the sun is shining and it was nice and fresh earlier. I was up with the birds and I'm on a scheduled rest day. I'm using as much willpower to not run as I had to use to go running two or three weeks ago. Although I think I may have covered 3 miles just walking around the house looking for things to do.

Little bit here too, two phantom injuries over the last week!

Don't want that extra hour in bed, less time I have the night before to worry and be nervous the better!

Best of luck you two. Hope you are going well. I didn't even get my last long run in. I'm hoping some old fashioned R&R will get me through. Maybe some pigs will fly!

18 miles less than two weeks seems an awful lot...... i personally wouldnt go over 18km. no more fitness to be gained between now . everyone to their own of course

Watch those clock changes from Summer Time back to GMT.

You might be standing around in the cold or rain for an extra hour. Especially if a non-European runner.

I figure it's too risky to aim for a 2:59:59, so gave myself a little cushion. :pac:

Yup only time I have is as a pacer and 2.59.25 was sufficiently under for anyone who may have started ahead of me to ensure anyone following me got under the 3hr mark.

    Have a couple of 1.16 HM's though

Chest infection this weekend but I caught it early and it should be cleared up by race day; the rest might do me good. I'll be sitting in on the 3:20 bus.

ooter is that a misquote, should it read 2.59.59 rather than 3.59.59?

My PB is from Dingle this year which I ran as a training run. All going well I'll manage the sub 8min miles the whole way round.
