Yr.no is saying rain with temps between 13 and 15 degrees with light breeze from south- southwest. I don't mind the rain but could do with it being a couple of degrees cooler.

It's states number on your confirmation email!! I thought that was our bib numbers. Maybe I'm wrong.

That's what I was thinking too so went and checked last years email. The number in my email was 409 and my bib number was 3350.

PB is from cork this year. Training went well for a target of 3:24 but I suspect this weekends cold will take a good few minutes off me.

Does anyone know how easy it is to pop into wave1 if i've been allocated a wave4 start? I'm one of the lucky ones who got the late entries but given a wave four start as a result.

What time would you want to be at the start? If memory serves me correct, I think I aimed to get to start with 30 mins to spare. Got a bit of warm up, stretching done, toilet etc. Waves started filling up pretty quick so think I headed to wave about 15 mins from off.

I'm in the same boat as yourself. Wanting to be in Wave 1 with the 3:40 pacers but the way I see it - I'm lucky they put on extra places and respect them for that - so i'm going to respect what Wave I've been put in. There's a great deal of organisation gone into this event & so many people will be in the same boat. I know from previous years they were very rigid on checking bibs/waves even with bin bags etc.
Going to have to pace myself, but I've trained for that. If I wanted to be in Wave 1 I shouldn't have left it so late to get a ticket. Just glad I'm in.

In regards to waves, I'd say your best chance is to ask at the expo. You never know, you might get bumped up. I'd prefer Wave 3, but I'm just glad I'm in at all!

I am confused about where the pacers are going to be located, I am planning to run around the 3.40 Pacer and starting in Wave 2 which seems to match up. So why are people saying the 3.40 pacer will be starting in wave 1.

Here is the info from the Website:
There are 4 wave starts. 1st wave Sub 3:35 2nd wave 3:35 to 4:05 3rd wave 4:05 to 4:35 4th wave 4:35+

Good news for you, much better chance of achieving your time from wave 3, my slip says I'm in wave 4.
