Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nissan Primera P12 - key replacement in Portlaoise

    Hi folks,

    Would anyone have any idea or information on the cheapest place (or individual) to get a new key cut and coded to a P12 Primera in Portlaoise? I've found the car having NATS2 has made this an expensive nightmare. Keys were stolen during a burglary a month and a half ago, quoted €300 from a Nissan dealer and that is far more than we can afford.

    Any information at all is greatly appreciated. I even looked at replacing the entire ECU and steering column with immobilizer with one from an identical car, but the ECU is a different model and I couldn't find any information on whether or not it would even work. But at about €80 it was an immensely cheaper option.

    Any chance your insurer will cover it, lots of fully comp policies have it as standard.

    Try r and p motors on the mountmellick road beside the campus petrol station. He coded Bmw keys for me.

    I'd be going with the second hand ecu and key option, purely to stop the burglars coming back for the car. If you get a new key coded in, the old key will still work.

    I think there's a way of clearing all pairing with central locking devices and then resyncing a new one? I know you can do this with Honda's at least, I'll have to look it up. Problem with the ECU is, even though it was the exact same model, exact same engine, exact same year, the ECU I found had a different model # and even looked different. I'd be worried I'd pay for it, install it and it wouldn't work as I can't find any information whatsoever about it online :/
