Anyone got direct experience of buying a carbon frameset direct from China

Looking at getting a cx disc frameset, probably from either Velobuild http://velobuild.com/ or Flyxii http://www.flyxii.com/

Before I press the button I'm curious to know of anyone had dealt directly with either of these companies? or any others for that matter? If so what were they like - delivery times etc..

And of course what was the quality of the frame like?

No experience with either of those but I got an FM015 road frame from Hongfu cycles several years ago. No problems at all - Took about 2 months for delivery. Nice light frame, looked great in Matt UD - kept for a couple of years and sold on - didnt loose much on it. Didnt pay any customs but I think thats not possible anymore. Make sure you get spare mech hangers - they will charge you 2-3 USD each when you buy frame, if you need to get after, they will charge you for shipping too bringing price up massively

Would you consider a planetX carbon CX frame? There selling off the Tomac frame for €387 and a full bike (carbon frame, SRAM rival 1 with hydraulic brakes, tubeless ready wheels for €1161. The frames probably made in the same factory and the SRAM rival hydraulic groupset is €760 alone!
