Help - Locate 9 foot railway sleepers

    Hi Guys,

    Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction....

    I have a flowerbed made from railway sleepers. Unfortunately the sleepers are rotting & need to be replaced.

    My problem is that a patio has been built around them.

    Therefore i need the same size to avoid gaps in the patio,

    The sleepers are 9' * 10" * 8"

    I only need 4 of them

    I am based in west Donegal

    Anyone able to advise where to locate this size from someone who will deliver?

    I can find plenty of 8' ones but not 9'

    Not sure if these guys would help, but worth asking as apparantly they're reasonably priced.

    Could cut 2 8' sleepers to 4' 6", then fit the 2 pieces using a metal brace on the inside to hold togeather, if you cant get 9' ones

    Mc cools sawmills in Stranorlar can provide any size beam you need. You'll probably have to put some preservative or colorant of some sort on it yourself though
