Referee and TMO contrived to not give a red there.

Has to be red but looking like they'll only go yellow.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 344 ✭✭Kobe248

Would have been a harsh red tbh

Less harsh than what happened Stander.

How was that not a red if Stander got red for the same in the first test?????

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,151 ✭✭✭fitz

Complete rubbish. If Stander's was red, that was too. My hole he fell on his back.

They did indeed and that is either fraud or cheating of some description.

Against the Stander incident, thats red. All day. We have been a victim of injustice there. Best shouldve taken his chances and remonstrated.

New way not to say head or neck is obviously 'top of shoulders' ffs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 852 ✭✭✭blackdog2

Red all day long. Out of interest that same ref from the first test gave maxime machenoud a red for a fairly innocuous tip tackle yesterday

Stander was looking at the player

    Le Roux wasnt

The biggest problem in rugby, inconsistent refereeing

Fair enough he wasn't looking but he jumped with one hand so wasn't going to catch it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,695 ✭✭✭BrokenMan

TOH must be deformed if that's where his back is

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 267 ✭✭El Chapo

    Disgraceful decision. That's a potential neck-breaker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,241 ✭✭✭Sanjuro

    Glen Jackson. Hasn't a clue.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,231 ✭✭✭A-Train

A joke once again no consistency in ref calls? How was that not red?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Fuming!

    What a bottled decision!

    Clearly a Red.

So now unless you land directly on the top of your head it doesn't count as your head

In fairness, it was the TMO that called on the landing.

Given that he hadn't a mission of getting to the ball that doesnt make it better.

Rory Best should have been in there like a rat up a drain pipe and get in the refs ear

  • Administrators Posts: 54,184 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

I genuinely do not understand how the TMO or Jackson thought he landed on his back. I just do not see how you could possibly come to that conclusion.

It was clear as day he landed on his neck, beyond any doubt.

Hopefully TOH able to return he was playing well

as i said in allblacks thread. pregnant pauses, vague statements and whats not big said more telling than whats being said.

"what are you seeing" eh ...............

Not even a penalty for me. Best could have get yellow for dragging back PSDT there.

South Africa offside all over the place. This ref is blind

The problem is that Stander's should have been a yellow. Because one wrong red card call was made, doesn't mean that reds have to be consistently given now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Great stuff!

SA offside 3 times there and got away with it!

WHat is most annoying is that they have the ability to review it in slo mo, its not hard to stop and clearly see the neck and head hit the ground first
