Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I'm 19 and have been wanting to become a fireman since a little kid so I'm determined to become one next time Dublin fire brigade recruit or when my local station recruits again, I'm looking for training etc before applying, I've tried the AUX division with the civil defence but told they aren't recruiting , I'd be looking to join something ASAP and start learning about how to become a fireman etc, would anyone recommend any courses or anything like that available other than the civil defence?

Organisations such as red cross or the order of Malta can help you train up to emt level and get you used to dealing with patients. It also shows that you are civic minded. There are also prep courses for the interview and aptitude test, I haven't done them but I'm gold they are useful.
