Spain pretty toothless, when Vasquez and pedro are your go to guys for goals you are in trouble. The great Spanish era is over by the looks, think they need a fresh start and take a different approach. One twos on the outside of an Italian defended box is as pointless.

Silva outside the box with a clear shot on goal, and he passes it:D Who am I to criticize the footballing skills of Silva but Iniesta was hardly in a better position than him, he essentialy just passed it to a player in a worse position.

Anyone else remember watching Buffon's debut against Milan back in the day on Channel 4? I was a Parma supporter and I remember the analysts talking about how Parma were missing their first two keepers and they were going to be in trouble because they had to play this unknown 18-year old. Of course Buffon was Man Of The Match in a 0-0 draw. Can't believe it's 21 years ago.

Surprised by Spain.

They looked incredibly sharp in the first two games and the first half of Croatia but they've been lethargic since then.

Maybe too old? Too many games? Too much success and not enough hunger?

If you go back to their successful teams, they weren't winning 10-0 every game then but had one of the top 10 strikers of this generation in David Villa, so maybe that's all they've been missing.

Funny how little he saves the ball & it goes in front of him. Always pushes it out wide. Classy goalie. Far outlived the Kahn's & Casillas who fell apart in their latter years.
