denon avrx2200 versus yamaha rxv 679

    hello,
         I had been hoping to buy the denon 2200 from you but it seems to be gone. the 2300 is a bit out of my price range. Does the yamaha rxv 679 compare well....the dolby atmos doesn't bother me too much. How reliable are the yamaha receivers in your experience. I had a yamaha rxv 379 whose power supply failed and I swore I wouldn't touch a yamaha receiver again...but it seems to be the best of the rest after the denon.

    Hi Jamescullen.

    Yeah the 2200 was a very good amp indeed.

    The RXV679 is also a good receiver, with plenty of features. I myself use a RXV673 and it has served me well for many a year.

    Cant think of any issues on the 679 that we have came across.

    I would agree that the Yamaha would be the next best option.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph.
