At a certain point you just have to call England out for what they are: pathetic no heart bottlers. They hold this image of themselves as plucky and brave in International tournaments but they consistently fail to exceed their level of technical ability. They turned in a soft error ridden performance tonight with all of their supposed talisman playing below what they're capable of. They have gotten exactly what they deserved from this tournament: little.

In the last half hour it became increasingly rushed. Kane taking corners and freekicks, the big no.9 who is good in the air. Rashford rushing over to take a corner. Ali rushing throw ins. No composure. No leadership. No help from the stands. Iceland utterly deserved it on the night for being everything England are not.
