Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Jaysus that was soft.

Thought no way it was a peno at first glance, but in fairness he did catch him.

    Edit - Wow

    Italy England double looking good.

Iceland to equalise and England to win 2 or 3-1.

Edit: I typed that before Iceland scored I swear!

That Iceland goal reeks of bad planning on England's part.

    Jaysus. That escalated quickly

Good Lord, those truly are the sons of Iceland - not a single name that doesn't end in -son :pac:

And all the women's surnames end in -dottir. Gylfi Siggurdsson is the son of Siggurd, and his son will be something like Magnus Gylflisson, so there's no set family surname.

Clyne will be smirking after that anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

lol, remember Icelanders are made up of Norwegian, Scottish and Irish blood.

Their Celtic genes will have them desperate to beat England...

1-0 and we give away a horribly soft goal. Total loss of concentration at the back.

My god what a start to the game and my god Jim Beglin talks some b*llocks. Stone wall penalty.

    Amazing start.

It may be level but advantage to Iceland already you would think.

Not the first time Sterling crashed to the floor today

Sickening that Rooney has scored. Of course it takes a penalty for him to get on the score sheet.

    Always the same.

Though you'd expect him to score from play tonight if he is going to at all.

Why can't we do stuff like that? :p

I wish Beglin would shut the fcuk up about Raheem being "clever" with the penalty. It was a stupid challenge by the Icelandic 'keeper, and a nailed on penalty.

Sickening play by Sterling but all credit to Rooney for putting it away.

England got England for Iceland goal

What's all this "sickening" melodrama. He did the right and clever thing and all players would do it.
