Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I like Didi, but it's easy to call the Premier League a fraud.

    That's not the issue.

    The issue is the coach.

If there's no pattern to play, and you can't even get set pieces right, to the point where Harry Kane is taking your corners and frees, while Rooney I'd marking the giant CB on defensive set pieces, them you've been set up to lose.

    And you know what?

As soon as August comes around and "The Greatest League in the World" tm kicks off, all the hand-wringing about the English National Team will stop.

    What do ye think?

Unless he morphs into Pep Guardiola between now and August, he won't have the choice.

Balotelli did not play in the Champions League final in 2010.Dunphy with more bull**** stats.

Only going to get worse. More tv money means the top clubs will merely buy talent and not develop it. Theres no incentive for them to do so. Not good for young English players.

    Brexit will end forgien players

Didi pulling no punches. He is spot on though.

Kinda feel sorry for English fans. Every major tournament it gets built up that they are going to do really well and they always end up doing absolutely ****e.

With their behaviour I'm delighted for them.

And the best players have been foreigners too. Henry, Cantona, Ronaldo Bergkamp, Van Nistlerooy....

Don't worry. When they liberate themselves from the EU tyranny, all those will be shipped out along with the rest of the foreigners - Mourinho, Wenger, Klopp, Guardiola.......

Didi making a well-trodden point, there. I would like to say, though, that if England are so average, how come they usually manage to walk their qualifying group into the tournament? 30 points, every game won against Switzerland, Slovenia and Estonia. Not that these are the greatest sides, but the kind of sides that England would struggle against when it comes to the tournament itself. So I think there is a huge mental issue here. I agree that their quality has dwindled, but it's not the whole story.

For the same reason that Italy seem to make heavy weather of qualification but can usually go a long way at the tournament - it's two different things entirely. The former requires some playing talent of course but latter is about tactics, acumen, knowing when to stick, when to twist, to understand the dynamic of being "canny" England have never really understood that every game is a final, not a league game where risks can be taken for reward.

    Keep it tight to progress.

The Premier League being totally exposed for the crap it is. Just a money making brand to mug people off. Glad I gave up on it ****ing Leicester City winning the League, England losing to Icelandic journeymen and not able to pass the ball 5 yards. Its a real sick disgrace they rob the fans they really do.

The money these idiots are on is sickening and they cannot control a football

Tardelli alluded to this about Irish players recently. Stands to reason we get it from them considering all our players develop there.

Same was said about Sven, McClaren, Capello.

Problem is much deeper than that tbf. The sheer size of the ego's these men need to manage must be near on impossible.

I refuse to believe the players are shít.

That game was a case study in what happens when you are not prepared properly as a team.

You always hear people questioning what it is that managers do, stating that players at that level should be able to just do their jobs without being told how.

Well that England performance shows exactly what a team looks like without management.

Put Conte in charge of those same players, and you'll have a completely different team.

How many of the top clubs have an English player that pulls the strings though? Its not the PL's job to look after the England team.

How does Giles think Rooney is a good midfielder. He struggles with the basics.
