Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Glenn Hoddle is worse. Just said Icelandic football is stuck in the 80's. Unbelievable arrogance.

Just like England's economy soon enough then.

Yes really sickening! He's a passenger who does very little these days. In 20 years few will remember this but he's another penalty goal added onto his "record". They've to stick him in midfield to accommodate him. He's living off his past reputation(which is overrated) but you can't drop the "captain". Another disgusting title he has.

Love the inverted commas. Penos count as goals you know.

Sickening. It's ****ing hilarious reading that.

Hart has a weak mentality, acting like a nut ball before a ball was kicked.

The ignorance and arrogance of the ITV commentary is baffling.

Really well worked goal. England chasing shadows there.

Pep's priority should be replacing Hart. Always seems a liability.

Oh, it's England. It could never be a stone waller.

Hart has been resting on his untouchable status for so long he's forgotten to do the basics

Englands defense is poor, very bad on both goals, even if they get past Iceland they haven't a hope of winning the euros with a keeper and defense that poor.

Nonsense. Having a terrible terrible tournament, he's still a great keeper.

Trust Hart to have a howler in a big game.

Only way Hart is still in goal for the WC in 2 years is if Roy's still in charge.

watching an ESPN/TSN stream... theyre just as arrogant/ignorant as id imagine ITV to be.

lol Iceland have had 19% possession and are 2-1 up, this is hilarious.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    That was abysmal.

It didn't even need to be quick one touch stuff to get through England.

Very poor defending by England so far. Keeper poor too.
It will be like the Alamo from now on though.
    Making for an enjoyable match.

It's as if Iceland's fantastic qualifying campaign (beating Holland twice, as well as Czech Republic & Turkey), and their 3 games unbeaten at the finals (including beating Austria) count for nothing.

If anyone needs an answer to why people want the English team to do poorly, the blame lies right there with the English media.

That's unfair. Most of the top PL players are from outside England.
GK - David De Gea (Manchester United)
    RB - Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)
CB - Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham Hotspur)
CB - Wes Morgan (Leicester City)
LB - Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur)
Mid - Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)
Mid - N'Golo Kanté (Leicester City)
Mid - Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur)
Mid - Dimitri Payet (West Ham)
CF - Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
CF - Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Nonsense. Having a terrible terrible tournament, he's still a great keeper.

Ah come on, he's not been great for City for a while either.

All he's good for is shouting 'come on' in the tunnel before a game.

Anyone else think Fraser Forster should get the nod for the keeper spot after the Euros? Hart is so error-prone.
