Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Love that H&S ad now.

"Shoulders were made for more" eh?

Think they were made for saving footballs from going in the goal.

Over to ITV to watch them all be sad for half time

Switching to RTE for some good old fashioned Dunphy hyperbole.

These Iceland lads aren't being given yellows for blatantly bookable offences either.

Or Alli for his pathetic dive

What a fcuking cowardly display by England. Joe Hart is such a clown its unreal. Hodgson clueless, Sturridge pathetic. Its embarrassing stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Hodgson will just throw on forwards until he scores.

    It's all he has.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

    Like I said.

Get Alli off - too "freestyle" at international level. More discipline is required Also Sterling off for Lallana and Milner (no really!) and change the formation to a 4-4-2 shape with Sturridge and Kane up top and central

I'd bring on Lallana and Vardy. Kane and Alli off.

If we lose this game, Wright will have to fight to hold back the tears.

In Iceland they don't use surnames like we do.

If they have a son, he is given an approved Icelandic first name and then his surname is the fathers first name followed by sson.
For girls it is the fathers first name followed by sdottir.
The s being the plural for the fathers first name.

Fun fact, everyone in the Iceland squad bar Gudjohnsen ends in son

Have to watch ITV to see how English deal with yet another crisis.

At the moment they aren't particularly good.

Nice forehead rub from Hodgson......not quite up there with his patented face rub, but certainly GIFworthy.

Sad but true. When the camera pans to him you cant help but laugh how uninspiring he is.

    He really is Mike Bassett

The ITV lads aren't happy. They'll be on te beer straight after full time at this rate.

Why are people so shocked? Iceland qualified from a very tough group to even get to the Euros and have done well in the group stage, England have been very unconvincing, drew with an awful Russia team, beat Wales at the death and couldn't break down Slovakia who Germany destroyed. I still think England will win but i never thought they'd win by more then a goal.

All I heard on Boards.ie how good this English team are.......

I'm sorry but manager or no manager, 55 million vs 300,000, it should be enough. Hilarious.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Too many individuals in the English team only concerned about how they perform, Sturridge and Alli being the main culprits.

I think England will turn it around like France did against Ireland. I hope not, but life is rarely this good.

Having a smattering of guys playing in France/Italy/Germany really helps Iceland. Would love if we had a few lads playing outside of British football. Would really expand us as a team.

Remember when we lost 5-2 to Cyprus? England have been that bad.

Not shocked here, just find it funny.

They will see this as bad as the day Ireland beat England at the cricket world cup.

    This is it.

Throw Kane in that too. Has thoroughly started to believe the hype if his predictable, endless shooting on sight is anything to go by.

You could also they best a Wales team who have looked very good for the past two years and should have beaten them by more. Every team did enough in the group stages. They have been quiet unlucky here 2 shots and 2 goals

When are we going to stop hearing about the quality of the England team? This is tournament after tournament, of course they are better than Iceland but there is a serious flaw if you cannot beat a tiny island country.
