Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

All I heard on Boards.ie how good this English team are.......

I'm sorry but manager or no manager, 55 million vs 300,000, it should be enough. Hilarious.

Why are China so ****e if that's how it works.

Tbf they did say IF they go through. They also said it was a big decision. It isn't. Forster in if they go through is a no-brainer

Sturridge a total joke. Get Vardy and Wilshere on.

Only hope is Iceland should tire in the 2nd half hopefully, its sad its come to that though lol

Wilshire reminds me of how they thought Joe Cole would be their savious in 2010.

In fairness he is a quality footballer who can unlock a defense. Great little player bar injuries obviously

Correct player on, wrong player off.

No brave enough to take Alli off and stick Rooney further up, or even put Wilshere up there.

    What do we need:

    - A calm head
    - Player who's good under pressure and fights against adversity.
    - Someone who wont bottle it

Yep. Get that Arsenal man on there quick fast... . :pac::pac::pac:

Too many little light fellows on the England team. Easily shoved off the ball by the big Icelanders.

In Iceland they don't use surnames like we do.

If they have a son, he is given an approved Icelandic first name and then his surname is the fathers first name followed by sson.
For girls it is the fathers first name followed by sdottir.
The s being the plural for the fathers first name.
So Hodgson is the son of a hot dog

ITV in shock!! That was hilarious

Lee Dixon wasn't that cross when Arsenal got bet by Marcus Rashford on his own this season.

They're also not a football team.

Had to turn off the ITV coverage. Pure bile they're spitting out about the Icelandics.

Some of these lads look like they can't be arsed playing for England.

Kane on set pieces still....just dreadful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,716 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

Still no bookings for persistent fouling.

    So?
Your man probably has nothing to do with England either. Small v big is the idea.

Rooney not looking very interested again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,930 ✭✭✭PeterTheEighth

Had to think that this England team would not be better if they had somebody like Enda McNulty or Jim McGuinness on their coaching team.

Would any of the English players be good enough to play in the Icelandic Premier League?

Hard to believe anyone thought England were dark horses for the tournament. Technically very poor and hearts the size of a mouse.

Need to get Vardy on very soon. Ridiculous that they can have him on the bench, when he's been on fire all season. Players really should be picked on form and not reputation.

Dark horses? They were 4th/5th favourites!

George forgetting Euro 96 and Italia 90 methinks.

Also beat Denmark in 2006 WC 2nd round.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,920 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

England look no better for the change. Sterling should be sitting on the bench with a big colouring book.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,330 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

Was expecting England to come out flying here but they're nearly worse than in the first half. So much poorer and less ability than the other big teams.
