I hope Jones ends up having a good season, not so long ago most fans were criticising Smalling saying he wasn't good enough and we should bring someone in and then he had a brilliant season and improved a lot.

I know its probably wishful thinking but I am hoping Mourinho brings Jones potential out, the big thing for him however is staying fit and reading the game better. He has the talent.

It's a testimonial, a friendly, and preseason...but it's also Mourinho. Wouldn't be expecting too much in the way of devil-may-care free flowing attacking football this year. Maybe down the line, but this first year in particular will be all tight systems and defensive play, soaking up pressure and countering for the most part. It's what he does, and it's what he's great at.
