Is "piss behaviour" really a saying? I've never heard it used before tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

Almost seems like a forgotton man now that we're discussing him. Haven't seen much about him since I started reading here!

Never forget the goal away to Charlton in '05 I think, where Rooney ran from his own half or so, lobbed it onto Ruuds chest, lil twirl and smashed it top corner. Pure instinct and class you're talking about there.

Always sad to think of how his career ended in controversy at United, such a fantastic player.

When watching Rooneys goals on MUTV the era with Giggs, Ronaldo and Ruud was just a joy to watch. Some sublime fast play.

With Shaw and Valencia we do have two pacey fullbacks and Mourinho likes attacking fullbacks, I'm hoping our attack gets its pace back this season, I know it's a lot to hope for but would be brilliant.

Do ye expect Zlatan to be as good as Ruud lads?

What a bizzare comparison to make.
We got Ruud early on in his career and he fulfilled all the potential he had shown in the Nethelands.

We are getting Zlatan at the twilight of his career. Two seasons tops.

Within a 7 sub bench, making a 6th, sub is your argument he should have brought on a second keeper?

And mkhitaryans height wasn't what he wanted, according to his argument. He simply wanted to waste some time with a sub and took off the smallest outfield player on the pitch. That's the reasoning he gave.

It's been discussed to death since it happened. The manager explained it straight after the game(whether you chose to believe him or not), it was in the papers for days afterwards and has been discussed on here for days.

Surely you don't need it explained to you?

I think people are getting a bit too caught up on the comparison. Obviously different styles and at different points in career.

He was definitely referring to how Ruud was a prolific goal scorer and Zlatan is too, pretty much do we expect Zlatan to be hitting 20+ goals and being clinical in front of goal like Ruud was. Which would be great.

On the subject of Zlatan, and I hope I'm proven wrong and that this is just a hangover effect from LvG, but I think we'll be calling for combination of Zlatan up front and Rooney behind him in the 4-2-3-1 to be hooked after a couple of months. It just feels a bit slow and ponderous given the other options we could put together.

A better comparison would be Larson IMO.

On Zlatan I've been very impressed by him so far in the limited pre season game time he's had. I actually thought he had a pretty decent game in the charity shield, even discounting the goal.

I think he has every chance of scoring 20 league goals in the coming season.

BTW Ruud was one of my favourite players and I was gutted when he was let go.

I don't actually, I do expect him to be a big provider of chances this season though. More Cantona or Sheringham if you will. Use his brain to beat teams and let others do the running for him.

Of course he is pretty damn good in front of goal so I think he will get his fair share alright, I think he could provide a catalyst for others to step up though rather then pin my hopes on him banging in 25 league goals or so

I definitely think Zlatan has alot more to offer at his age of 34/35 then Larsson did, I think Zlatan is a genetic freak, any player that scores 51 goals in a professional league at 34 is a ****in freak, the zlatan at PSG last season is the best he has ever played, I always though in his inter days when he played against us he wasnt top top class, he seemed to always miss chances , but since he moved to PSG he has become a Superman of a striker, his prime was last year not 5 or 6 years ago

On a maybe/maybe not unrelated point. It says more tbh for three lads to say a posters opinion is hyperbole and then just spam pictures and daft posts until it goes away. Tremendous discourse.

Especially given the medium, for someone to ask what "piss behaviour" means, I didn't think that was a genuine question. Not least because of the way the past page or two of posts had went either.

    Match predictions for Sunday?

2-1 United. Mata to score only to be then subbed off with Bournemouth subsequently equalising and then in a strange twist subbed back on for Mkhitaryan to score the winner...

I actually think it's gonna be a comprehensive victory. They will sit back and we will score 1 then they will have to come out and we will pick them off on the counter.

I really looking forward to seeing how Bailly does in a competitive game.
A very exciting prospect by the looks of it. Given time we could have a gem on our hands.

I hope you're right but I don't know, I've a feeling it'll be tight. Jose will just want the win at all costs and I can see it taking at least a few games for things to properly click.

I think it will be a professional, pragmatic approach, same as I do with everything Mourinho :)

I am hopeful we can get an early goal to ease the tension but I expect a tight enough game. Could even get turned over if not at it properly. Bournmouth have good continuity there, good spirit.

Going for 2-0 though optimistically :)

Leicester have a handy one to open I reckon, Hull only have 18 first team players registered and 6 of them are injured.

Can see why Bruce left. He left cause there was no investment in the team. Poor Mike Phelan.

I definitely think Jose made the substitution to rile up Mata to maybe get a reaction from the fans and players favourite man. It's really not outlandish to think this way.
Anyway im not gonna discuss that anymore than what I have said.

Sunday, all I really want is a win. I don't mind if it's 1-0 as long as we get the ball rolling with 3 points.

    Oh wow
    Seven pages
Thought we'd bought or sold someone
Nope people still makings mountain out of a non story....
Answer me this then those folks whinging about Mata's treatment
Has Jose banished him from the squad
Has Jose said he's not part of his plans
Did Jose bring him on ahead of one of his key summer signings on Sunday

If the answer is yes to any of the above what have no been reading or watching this summer??

    As adamcovic says
    Everybody love everybody...

There's a new season starting soon

Jaysus it's been busy in here tonight. Still same arguments as last night I see.

My twopence worth from countdown to kickoff.

Johnny Evans is a lucky man.

Pogba seems to have settled in well training with the gang hopefully having the new signings like him around will give the club a big lift in effort and confidence.

Poor mutv trying to big up pogba and jose refused to talk about him ha.

I think they wI'll be all up for the game Sunday and mad to get going so I hope for a good win.
