I think Pogba will sign for Madrid. I dont buy this not wanting him etc etc. The player wants to go their and Zidane wants him and Real always get what they want.

At the end if the day Pogba is not worth even £50m let alone £100m. There is no way his value will increase to above £100m if he does make the move.

Bale would be a better move for that type of money. Looking at Pogba as an investment type player means buying him maturing him and reselling him at a profit which ain't gonna happen if he cost £100m in the first place. Way too much for him regardless of the potential.

Bale would be much better buy for 100m than Pogba

Jo from London on the Paddy Crerand show going on about the ebst United players being air signs (horoscopes), load of rubbish.

Except 100m would not buy Bale.

De Gea was 90% certain of joining Madrid. It was only the fax machine mess that screwed that deal up

James Rodriguez signed for Real for £80m two years ago he was listed as a possible buy for United at around £50m a few weeks ago. This is what I would fear with Pogba, paying a heightened fee but selling at a loss after he fails to deliver or just doesn't work out. He is very young and has lots of potential to work out a superstar but given the poor return on paying exceedingly high amounts for players is it worth the risk, no not for £100m maybe £40m but as Kante just sold for £30m silly season is upon us it seems.

which means they dont always get what they want............. ; ). it was a small bit of ironic humour!

I think the world is clear as to the facts of the lucky mishap!

Zidane seems to be the one pushing for Pogba at Madrid. If I was in Pogba's shoes i'd seriously have to think about just how long Zidane is going to be manager there. He will probably be gone in 6 months.

James was bought for 80m euro but he is supposedly being offered to united from anything between 50-60m pounds.. not that much of a loss at all.. definetly not the loss you are making out.

I never rated Jamie Rodriguez myself. If we miss out on Pogba I would not go near him with a barge poll. He was just hyped up after the world cup.

He was more hyped up BEFORE the world cup than after.

Looks like Zidane could be out sooner if he doesn't stay on the right side of Perez

Thanks for your feedback pal it's handy to keep all the vital information in one post.

The only thing is that when I'm typing it I'm imagining myself reeding it in a Jeremy clarkeson voice.

    Sky Sports headline on Facebook:

"Is there about to be a cruel twist on its way for Manchester United?"

    Jesus wept!

heres the link to the article in which Zidane is asked about Pogba and is quoted in this as "Do I like Pogba? Of course, he's a very good player and every club wants the best players, but right now he's at Juve and we have a large squad already."

    http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/10505522/real-madrid-boss-zinedine-zidane-reveals-paul-pogba-admiration

I really wonder who translates things for Sky as this is what was actually said according to SPORT in spain.

"I like Pogba, but at the moment, he's a Juventus player. I'm happy with the squad I have and it's difficult to improve it."

Can't see it to be honest, why would anyone want to leave Madrid. He will be the star player in the next few years

It would only be a cruel twist if you believed he was actually coming. I'd still rate it at about a 30% chance.

They seem very happy in Spain. football careers are short, bale is 27, if he stays another 3 years at Madrid he will be doing very well, plenty of time for the kids to go to school in Britain

James bought for 80 mil and lost 30 mil a few years later. When you put Deeney was 30 mil you would have thought a James would have kept his price not lose 30 mill.Yes its a massive loss!

60m pounds is 71.8m euros.. its a loss of 8.2m euro.. or 6.8m pounds.. its not a loss of 30m..

Add on to that, the latest reports from yesterday have Madrid looking for 80m euro for him though i wouldn't trust that as its the Sun.

    Is pogba still in America?

To be honest if it happens I'd be delighted buy if it didn't I don't think I'd give a fek either as long as we actually strengthen our midfield.

Saying that if he actually wanted to join us and saw us as a long term career path I'd be very very happy.

Think he is due back tomorrow or Wednesday, which is probably why this is being ramped up.. I'm in the same boat as it seems thathat Jose has the bases covered that if he doesn't come we will move for Matuidi.. Wouldn't mind both tbh :D

It's pretty much a win win situation if it was this time last year I'd be more worried.

I watched a short video earlier.

Pogba while at Juventus with Pirlo, he said he thinks about Manchester United everyday, praised Fergie as a great manager and he would know what to do if he ever returned.

So I will again say, I think L'equipe were spot on when they said Pogba is happy to return to United.

Looks like he will be a United player this week, if all the talk is to believed and at a world record €124 million.
