In that GIF it looks like the Real Madrid team were sent back to school.

I'm usually sceptical about these things (especially with Madrid involved) but I'm PogbON. I think Jose will pull it off.

Kante was more of a defensive player, they usually cost less than attacking players.

45 Million for Mahrez would be good signing IMO considering the new deal and how average players cost so much.

I think 45 million for a player that's had one good season is too much. Kante is a big gamble for Chelsea too

Probably social media training, United players do it as well as would most big clubs I would imagine

Of all the Leicester players I'd say Kante is most likely to repeat his form next season.

Kante at 30m was a steal (at current prices).

I would jump at Mahrez for the right wing - him on the right, Mkhtaryan centre and Martial from the left... would be nice.

That's don't mean he ain't a big gamble. The majority of Leicester players have always been lower tier players what we're saying is that he is favourite to do best ahead of a group of lower tier players.

I like Kante I love his style of play but the fact is he is 25 and never showed the type of player he showed last year before but that don't mean he won't it just means he is a big gamble.

If rumor has it right any champions league club could of had him for 20 million but none jumped on hin for that which I would say is a fairer price.

Yeah but he obviously wanted to leave them so others could've bought him for 20mill. Just because a champions league club had him doesn't mean he has to stay with them because they're a champions league team

For Mourinhos talk about specialists, we still don't have one on the right. Unless he is going to go with Lingaard first choice?

Maybe he thinks Mkhitaryan can play there. I thought Mkhitaryan said he could play in any of the 3 positions behind the striker. (10 & each wing assume)

I think micki is for the right doc that's where he played majority of his games for Dortmund.

Well spot Claude your on the ball infairness to you.

Well I guess that is how it might start, and shoehorn Rooney into #10 behind Zlatan.

Then Rooney will be absolute dog****, struggle and the inevitable change will take place with Micky going #10. Then its Lingaard on the right?

I'm basically writing Rooney of this season, anything he does positively is a massive bonus. But you wouldn't see him in ANY of my "teams" I'd write in paper.

Be interesting to see the upcoming friendlies. If Micky is planned to be on the right, I'd expect Mata to play at #10 and him to actually feature on the right at some point. I say expect, as from what I gather English players won't be involved in this upcoming set of friendlies?

Nope I'm not surprised with Wilson I thought Varela would of had a chance but maybe they have loan moves linedo up.

I wouldn't of thought Varela was worth another loan move tho he should be sinking or swimming now.

Don't understand Zlatans omission. Sweden were out of the Euros before England and Rooney, Smalling etc are going.

I assume he will be joining them for the game in Sweden.

Yeah it's odd. I take it be will have his big debut in the friendly in Sweden...either that or he couldn't get a visa to travel to China :D

Yeah, wasn't it a week ago or so when it was said Mourinho was giving him extra time off so he wouldn't be bringing him to China.

Fully expect him to make his debut in Sweden.

He's super old and probably needs a rest.

Presume Zlatan and the others who were on EURO duty will return to club while the rest are away in China and start their preseason work on their own (with some coaches there obviously) and then be ready to join up for match in Sweden. Coming straight back from holiday and on to a plane to China wouldn't make much sense.

Ninja edit: Only saw De Gea and Rooney on plane so forget that :)

He had a great season in Ligue 1 at Caen the year before, players mature at different times. Drogba was about 25 before he moved to Marseille.

Kante was probably the best player in the league last season. £30 million in today's market for someone like Kante who's only 25 with Premier League experience looks good business. Of course all transfers are gambles but I wouldn't call it a big gamble.

Apparently Kante turned down two other Premier League clubs and another big European club so I'm sure there was others interested. Players like Ibe are going for £15m and you think £20m would be a fairer price for Kante?

By all means 15 million for ibe is crazy money too where did I say that it was a fair price for him?

I was purely saying that kante is a big risk for 30 million that doesn't mean I think he will turn out to be bad investment he may well be great signing but it's a risk.

Same as pogba would be a bigger risk for United.

Maybe I am in a minority but I don't want Mahrez.

I would like to think Jose would want Griezmann and he will be a 2017 summer signing for when we have CL football and to give us a team capable of winning it.

I can see us going for him next summer alright. Rooney and ibrahimovic could both be gone after this summer and we will need to sign another striker.

    so what then?

United should pay 50m for some sub standard player is it?

If it costs 120m to get the player Mou wants, then that's what the club pays.

It's not as if they can't bleedin afford it

The club is rich, the richest in the world, it's time it started acting like it in the transfer market - this is the start of it, blasting them fúckers in Madrid right out of the water on the biggest transfer of the summer.

Flex those muscles, show the world "it's motherfúcking ON bitches".

The club can afford a transfer like this every damn summer.

Get the players in, get the trophies and leave the penny pinching to the has beens and have nots.

It's honestly one of the most tiresome things on the internet to have to read through pages of posts by people who think they understand the financial implications of a large transfer fee better than the people who work for the company paying the fee.

If the level of discourse ever got beyond "oh he won't sell enough jerseys" it might be more tolerable, but it's all just facile auld rubbish really isn't it.
