Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How's Ireland going to live with Wales in the WC qualifiers? Not only will they have better football, but their fans have got tons of songs and sing them to choir-level quality. Won't even be able to get the moral victory.

Portugal were terrible in the last two games. Very little attacking threat. Belgium are a much better team than Portugal and Wales have beaten them.
    This is true.
However, if you analyse the game Wales benefitted from 2 massive decisions.
Firstly, Davies should have had a second yellow for the clip on Lukaku and Belgium should have had a penalty when Williams stood on Nainggolan.

    Congratulations to Wales though.
Start billing this as Ronaldo vs. Bale now!

Anyone else think they should drop the suspension for two yellow card rule in the knockout stages of these competitions? Fans want to see the best players playing in these rounds.

Cue everyone saying how Gary speed set the wheels in motion for this when actually he was ****e as Wales manager. Anyway, well done wales .

What games have you been watching? They haven't even won one game in 90 minutes as far as I'm aware so far in this tournament.

    They have been very average.

Wales really are the black sheep of the tournament.

    Belgians reputation isn't deserved.

Dembele on the bench, mistake or was he suspended/ injured?

Wales brilliant, skill, pace, physical, tactics perfect, well drilled, worked hard in possession and to get ball back, excellent movement. Hope Coleman gets the credit this run deserves

Great day for British football. Belgium were muck, Witsel and Naingolan are not good enough in midfield, overhyped rubbish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,296 ✭✭✭coco0981

Wales were brilliant, responded so well to going one down

Having said that Belgium bottled it, they couldn't match Wales for desire and hunger

Ramsey is going to be a big loss against Portugal. The yellow card was so needless, 3-1 up in injury time.

He got the yellow card in the 75th minute when it was 2-1.

    Chris Coleman...absolutely spot on.

Don't be afraid to dream, don't be afraid to fail.

Superb performance...they've done us extremely proud.

Belgians are bottlers, all hype but when the chips were down they were found wanting.

    Wales have been superb
Have you forgotten that Belgium humiliated us?
How come Wales aren't exhausted and made the semis? As Roy Keane said four years ago after Spain slaughtered us in Poznan- turning up just to have a sing-song is just not good enough! We'll never get anywhere with our defeatist attitude.
All together now "....... low lie the fields of Athenry ....."

They should but it is the players own fault.

They get the rule changed in the champions league because of players being harshly suspended for finals and if they wanted to they would be able to get this rule changed.

The player only have themselves and their union to blame.

This is brilliant stuff. Over the moon for them :)
They have been magnificent. A real team.

Are you watching England and the Rep Ireland? Thats how you play with courage, ambition and desire (granted we probably only lack ambition tbf...and Gareth Bale)

    A Wales v Iceland final :p

The players don't have a defeatist attitude and the fans attitude of going out to enjoy themselves has absolutely no negative affect on the team.

Ramsey will be a big loss - but if they go after a less than brilliant Portugal side with the same kind of tenacity then it's definitely on for a place in the final.

    Wrong !

Dean Saunders said "Coleman, Speed, Flynn, Toshack". Then he thanked the FA!! The "W" is clearly silent in Welsh.

That was an exhibition of real guts, played by a team with with real national pride.
None of those Welsh players would get lost in downtown Cardiff.

The Welsh fans are brilliant too, and boy can they sing.

And Wales have only the one team Manager...

Exactly. Are we seeing the rise of the team? Lecister winning the league and Wales in the semifinals and Iceland in the quarters.
