Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shouldn't have been beaten at the near post at that pace from that distance.

Anyone blaming the keeper for that needs their head examined. The sheer power and pace of that ball would beat anybody.

Belgium look to be out to settle a score from the qualifiers so far.

Another card. Very early to be picking up cards.

Silly booking for Chester, no need to tackle there

Can't believe some are blaming the keeper for that. Don't think Neuer would have stopped it.

A better of a shot but he had loads of space and the keeper could have done better.

You're doing a fabulous goal some discredit there.

With almost every goal nowadays in the age of the internet there's some gobshi1te on a forum blaming the defence and keeper for the goal rather than crediting great attacking play.

Find it annoying, it was a great goal.

If every defence and keeper was perfect then every game would finish 0-0 which nobody wants to see.

Been impressed with both teams so far. Keeper had no chance for goal.

Bale the best player by miles, Belgium should be putting 3 players on him

    Stop criticising Hennessey, dagnabbit!

It was an amazing goal, full stop.

    Joe Allen caused that :(

He caused Belgium to have a shot from 35 yards. The rest was a miracle

Even St Peter wouldn't have stopped it:)

Easy to blame the goalkeeper watching it in slow motion

Watch it in real time and appreciate what a powerful shot it was.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

That was a wicked shot don't think most keepers would have much chance. Closing down was very poor but Belgium worked the space very well

Not sure how your first reaction to that goal could be "crap goalkeeping"!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Wales are picking up ridiculous cheap cards.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,206 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

There could be a red card in this one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,330 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

Wales gonna be down to 10 by HT at this rate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Wales are throwing everything at this......but these cards could cost.

Watching in super slow mo and then thinking that keeper was slow getting across.

    It's total bullsh1t.

    Handball?

I see Hazard now has more assists at the Euros than he managed in the whole Premier League season for Chelsea.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

I'm sorry but that's absolute bollocks. Hazard committed two yellow card offences there and gets neither purely because he's a big name.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    What a save

    Terrific save

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ooh - that was some save.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,443 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

Hazard deliberately handballs and then throws it away. How is that not a yellow?

Great save from Courtois. Neil Taylor was on the fast track to becoming... a prolific bloody goalscorer.

This picking up the ball to force the refs hand is sh1te. It's a deliberate handball and automatic yellow card but refs don't give it.

The ref is too quick to card the dragons I think

    What a shot!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Pity Taylor couldn't place it a bit more to the left. Better from Wales though.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 3,257 ✭✭✭Peist2007

Great play from Wales, been an excellent game so far. In a funny way the Belgian goal has allowed them to settle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,356 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Good goalkeeping from Courtois, in fairness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,664 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

This thing of falling over and grabbing the ball has really taken off during the tournament.

    Absolute load of boll!x.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭delaad

    Great game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Poor from Taylor, straight at Courtois. He had the whole of the left side of the goalmouth to shoot into.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,017 ✭✭✭sReq | uTeK

**** sakes book the ****. It's a deliberate hand ball stopping Wales from breaking it is NO different than any of the yellow shown to the Welsh team who's fouls accomplished the same thing.

Gareth bale really is an excellent player

I don't think your man on TV3 knew who Nainggolan was, took him ages to say his name. :pac:

Belgium jersey looks very close to a German jersey a few years ago

    nelgiumn have a poor defence

Honestly. Those two dreadlocked Belgian defenders are poor defenders.

It's happening far more often in this tournament I've found.
