Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buying car that wasn't taxed for 12 months?

Have sourced car in the UK. When I run the reg through DVLA website, it shows that it wasn't taxed since 01.06.15. It's a Leaf - which is motor tax exempt in the UK (but you still have to apply for it).

Are there any circumstances in which car could have been used without tax (aside from the obvious)?

Would be pretty unlikely someone used it and didn't tax it.

Would start to wonder if it was crash repaired or similar.

Would show on v5 if major?

The v5 document is the car's log book.

Have you run a history report on the car?

Have seen a copy of HPI & original v5. Will see copy of updated HPI and V5 when dealer gets them back from DVLA - and obviously will see the originals before I hand over the cash.

Will one of the other checks show more than any Category damage that would show up on a new v5?
