Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey I had originally ordered with sky along with tv but they could only offer 2mb which is pretry poor. They said they had no fibre ports left in Knocksedan. I was talking to eir and they can offer fibre so I've just ordered online as there are deals going at the minute. Hasn't been installed yet but hopefully there'll be no issues!!

Curious to know how you’re getting on with the Eir BB? I’m moving in the next few weeks so I better get some BB ordered.

We are considering a used home purchase in this estate. Looks like a great estate, generally speaking... this thread has some great info on 41c, broadband, etc., but wondering if anyone living there might be able to provide an update on:

    1. 41c reliability.
    2. Swords
    3. Footpath to Swords village or Spar
    4. Broadband in the estate

Any info on builders/specs for semi-ds on Molesworth Close specifically?

    Cheers

Can hopefully help with a few of your queries.
My view on Dublin bus, particularly the swords routes (as I'm most familiar with them) is that reliability is poor. Outside of peak Monday to Friday Times, neither my wife or I can rely on them arriving.

In terms of footpath, once you leave the estate you'd need to be turning right to head towards swords Manor. There's no footpath until you get through the next crossroads and even then it's a few hundred metres up that road.
IMO this is a dangerous stretch of country roads for pedestrians and is quite a bust road with traffic including buses and trucks. I wouldnt consider it overly safe. I wouldnt do the walk at all if I had dogs or a pram.

Swords is as it always has been. Busy and growing town lots in it depending on what you want and has good and bad aspects and areas like any other town. If you have any more specific questions about swords I can help.

For broadband you can forget about Virgin as they’re not available for broadband or cable TV.

SIRO with Vodafone or Sky are your best options.

Too bad to hear about bus reliability. Ease of commute to the city is a primary factor. Is the shuttle service reliable to get to swords to catch swords express?

What speeds do you get in the estate? I'll check independently and directly but oftentimes I think the advertised speed doesn't match reality.

Most recent test showed download of 600Mbps+ using WIFI on a Google wifi (mesh) set up. Can’t remember the last time I checked a wired connection but I run Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sky Q, multiple phones/tablets and a number of Google hone devices plus Nest thermostats, fire alarms and a Nest Hello off our network.

    That's great actually, thank you.

Another question on the shuttle buses... are they reliable? I can check out prices on-line I think...

Funnily enough today is the only day I’ve been let down, but I was on a 41c from town to change on to the 196 at the Pavillions and reckon I missed the 196 by a minute because the 41c was running late.

I’m not a very regular user but I’ve few complaints other than it stops too early (7pm) but that is to be addressed by Bus Connects (later services but slightly reduced frequencies)
