2010 Skoda Superb seat belt sensor problem

Hello All,


I have a 2010 Skoda Superb that has developed a really annoying fault whereby if a passenger is sitting in the front seat, a sensor on the seat belt causes an intermittent beep which is really annoying as one drives along.

Any ideas on solving this problem would be most welcome.

Stupid question but are they wearing their seatbelt

Yes they are wearing the belt.

When i held the belt loosely above the buckle, it appears to temporarilt stop the problem.

Maybe a bit of electrical contact cleaner on the buckle (both parts male and female) ?

Your local motor factor should have some also, don't let them sell you WD40 or anything like that instead. Spray a bit on both parts and let it dry before trying them again.
