Anyone going to this? Chilli Peppers on the Thursday and Avicii the day after, seems like a good deal with the value of the pound going down. Has anybody ever been to it before? It's on in the Boucher Road playing fields. Is it a good venue? What sort of crowds does it attract? And would yous say it would be dangerous going up there with a Dublin accent? And is it possible to go up on public transport and come back down after its over or would you be better driving up and booking in somewhere for the night? Thanks.

We are going to the Chili Peppers on the Thursday. We are staying on the Thursday night in a hotel near the gig. Never been to Belfast before but haven't given our safety a seconds thought, its 2016 after all.

Public transport - you might want to check trains, etc. There might be specials put on for the occasion. Otherwise, the Air Coaches are probably your best bet, as they run all night:

It is a northside or southside Dublin accent....?

Nah, there'll be no worries on that front.... :)

This "value of the pound dropping" is absolute nonsense! It was worth less last February. In any case, it's going to make no difference for a ****ing music concert!

So are you arguing that the tickets are the same price now (in euros) as they were last year? Don't be ridiculous.

There'll normally be a paid carpark open somewhere on boucher.

If you're looking for somewhere free yoi can try some of the roads around the boucher crescent retail park or you should get somewhere on one of the streets off the lisburn rd.

You'll be grand, if you're planning to walk to / from the city centre for it I would recommend avoiding the donegal road area though.

Your a star, thanks for the info. Would there be much trouble finding a space around 6ish?

if you are coming off the m1 from enniskillen direction you could come off at kennedy way exit and park in asda. its a 24 hour and parking is ample. its just a 15 min walk to location. just make sure car is secure and wrap chain around steering wheel ☺ just to be safe 😉

Does anyone know if there's an ATM up there or do they take euros? I haven't taken out any pounds 🙈

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,611 ✭✭✭Mollyb60

Not sure about an ATM on site but there's maybe one across the road at the Danske Bank?? Doubt they'll take Euros in there.

People standing around chatting ignoring the band is becoming my number 1 pet hate.

The Chilis were excellent though :)
