Direct Debit Number26

    Eir refuse to accept Direct debit from account attached to Number 26 as it is German. This is a SEPA account and they still refuse, why is that and is it legal to refuse.?

    Pamela, The guy at the telephone support desk wouldn't take my bank details as it was not Irish his supervisor instructed him not to take details as "Eir is an Irish Company and will only use Irish Bank". Super would not come to the phone. I tried to use the setup on myeir and the form will only accept IBAN which starts with IE. The App has predefined bank names and my Bank is not there.

    Pamela, thanks for that information what a pity Eir do not have their systems compliant yet for SEPA and that the supervisors seem to know nothing about it. Hopefully you will pass this information on to them.
